Assessments

Student Geometry Computer.pngAll public schools in California participate in a state testing system called the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), taken by 3rd-11th graders each spring.

All our English Language Learner students also need to be assessed annually to learn how they are progressing in acquiring the English skills to function in society. The assessment they take is the English Language Proficiency Assessment for California.

These tests provide teachers, principals and district leaders with important information about how well students are learning.  Test results are analyzed and used to set goals and develop more effective teaching strategies.

To find out more about state testing please visit the following page on the California Department of Education's Testing and Assessment website.
