Transfers & School of Choice

How do I request a transfer within the district for my child?

Please review the Open Enrollment Form (below) and/or call (650) 638-8447 with questions. This form is due in late spring.

How do I request a transfer to or from another district (interdistrict)?

Download Interdistrict Transfer Application from the list below. Call (650) 638-8447 with questions.

An Interdistrict transfer/reciprocal agreement is when parents/guardians wish to register/admit/enroll their student(s) at a school other than the designated school that is in their attendance area outside of their district.  Interdistrict transfer/reciprocal agreement must be approved by both the student's district of residence and the district to which the student seeks to transfer to.  Both districts must approve the agreement before it becomes valid.

The form must be completely filled out in order to be processed.  Interdistrict transfers will not begin to be processed for the following school year until January of each year.  If you would like to know the status of your request, please call Jackie Sullivan, Student Services at (650) 638-8447 or email [email protected]  Please use the links below for more information regarding Interdistrict transfers.
