SamTrans

Cabrillo Unified has partnered with SamTrans to assist their students with transportation.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL WITH SAMTRANS

Great news! SamTrans is offering FREE service for everyone through August 20th!

SamTrans Schedules are linked below (effective now):

  • Route 18 - School Oriented Route (weekdays only)
  • Route 117 (previously 17)

* Note about 117:

The former Route 17 will be rebranded to Route 117. The new Route 117 will be simplified with fewer deviations off Highway 1, resulting in more direct service with buses every 60 minutes on weekends. Seton Coastside Medical Center will be added as a stop on every trip. Service to Sunshine Valley Road, 6th Street, and Cañada Cove will be eliminated (This is for Route 117 only, service will still be available at these locations for Route 18).

Once the district receives Youth Unlimited free passes for the 2022-2023 school year, schools will distribute passes to eligible students.Riders age 5-18 can apply for a

 Youth Clipper Card by mail, email, fax, or in person.

 Families will need to verify the youth's birth date with an accepted form of identification. The Clipper Youth Application is attached.

 SamTrans monthly passes are only available on the Clipper Card. The Monthly passes may be loaded at SamTrans headquarters or online at https://www.clippercard.com/ClipperWeb/reload.html.

As another option, Safeway in Half Moon Bay does sell local-ride ticket packages for families that don't wish to apply for Clipper Cards (ticket cards have replaced the old tokens). The cost is $11 for 10 cards.
