Pilarcitos High School
& Alternative Education

High school students are getting more opportunities and making bigger plans than ever before. The teachers, staff, and board members of the district and local nonprofits are valued contributors to a partnership that is taking Pilarcitos High School to new places. Thank you for your vote of confidence.

Pilarcitos High School provides an alternative high school setting for 10th-12th grade students to earn credit towards a high school diploma or G.E.D.

Independent Study places the responsibility in the hands of the student in completing a teacher-supervised, weekly individual education contract to earn credit towards a high school diploma.

We believe that it is our responsibility to serve our students’ educational needs in an alternative setting that is customized for each student. Our school's educational objectives, within the scope of our district's goals, offer youth the opportunity to develop the necessary skills needed to function as successful, contributing members of our community.

PBIS Purpose Statement

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a multi-tiered approach of improving outcomes for students on social, emotional and academic issues.
