Pilarcitos High School provides an alternative high school setting for 10th-12th grade students. Students work individually to complete GED requirements.

Home Independent Study Program is the alternative instructional program for grades 1-12. It is designed to serve those parents who are teaching their children at home A credentialed teacher advises parents and provides appropriate educational materials.

Independent Study is a positive and productive alternative to continue or complete a high school education. The student assumes the responsibility to complete an individual education contract.

Adult Education Program provides instruction in literacy and basic skills in English as a second language, civics, GED preparation, business education, health, and home-making. Special instruction for senior citizens and handicapped adults is also available. Admission to the Adult Education Program is open to adults and high school students who are 14 years of age or older.
