- UC Admission Policy Changes - You Need to Know. Starting with the Class of 2012... (this year's SENIORS!) UC Freshman Admissions: will no longer require the SAT Subject Tests (although some schools/majors might highly recommend them) and will require that students finish at least 11 out of their 15 A-G requirements by the end of their Junior year. - Athletes - NCAA Eligibility. Student Athletes: If you are considering playing competitive sports in college, it is important for you to understand the rules for eligibility, particularly for Divisions I and II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Interested students should register with the NCAA Eligibility Center at the end of 11th grade. Register at https://web1.ncaa.org/eligibilitycenter/common/ and follow instructions to send transcripts and official test scores as required.Please talk to your coach and see your counselor with questions!
- Used SAT Books. Don't forget about our recycle program of SAT/ACT practice books. Leave your old books on the table in the College & Career Resource Room in the library and pick up one that you need - just remember to return for the next student!
- Online SAT/ACT Preparation is available from the online instruction center of the SMC Community College District. The course is taken in two parts, each course runs for six weeks, with a two-week grace period at the end. Two lessons are released each week for the six-week duration of the course.
