Fundraising Events & Activities

Support your School.
Please contribute generously to the Hatch PTO, where every dollar goes to provide Music, Classroom Supplies, Field Trips, Art, PE/Playworks, Library, HEAL, Amity Interns and more. To fund all these Enrichment Programs for the 2017-2018 school year, we need to raise $147,000. We need your help!!


There are 3 easy ways to donate:

  • ONLINE: It’s safe and secure with PayPal or credit card.

  • SCHOOL OFFICE: Bring your completed pledge form to the school office.

  • IN THE MAIL: Complete the pledge form and send to Hatch PTO, 490 Miramontes Ave, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.

Purchases from Amazon. Use the link below to order from Amazon. Hatch receives 5% return from your purchases. http://friendsofhatchpto.yolasite.com/

Box Tops For Education. Save those box tops on assorted products (Pillsbury, Kleenex, Gogurt, Betty Crocker...) and send them to school with your child throughout the year. For a list of all products and more information visit www.boxtops4education.com. Each box top is worth 10 cents.

Grocery gift cards. When you buy grocery gift cards from our school to Safeway or New Leaf, Hatch receives a percentage of the purchase (4-5% of the purchase depending on the store). You have to buy groceries so why not ensure Hatch makes some money when you shop. To place a order for a grocery card, email our Scrip Coordinator, Beth Loof at: beth@theloofs.com, ask one of the PTO board members, or look for a table to sign up during special school events.


Events & Activities
Voluntary Tuition Campaign. This is our biggest fundraiser for the year! During 2 weeks in September we hold an Voluntary Tuition Campaign to raise funds for all of the PTO Enrichment programs throughout the year. Our goal is to achieve 100% participation from Hatch Families!

Jog-a-thon. Students ask family, friends, and the community to sponsor laps run around the Hatch field during the event. Come and cheer for the kids! Many volunteers are needed for this event.

Pumpkin Festival Parking. A great fundraiser for our school. We are fortunate to use the District parking lot, at Kelly on the ocean side of Highway 1 in the first block. We offer parking to Festival attendees for both Saturday and Sunday from 8am-6pm. A number of volunteers are needed for this event.  

Movie Nights. One of our favorite community building events! Four times a year we offer FREE Movie Nights in the MPR with food and snacks for $1.00.

Hatch Spirit Wear. Show your school spirit by wearing a Hatch t-shirts and sweatshirts on Spirit Fridays throughout the year. Look for order forms to come home in backpacks from school.

Scholastic Book Fair. For one week in December our Library becomes a bookstore, with quality books on sale for children of all ages. Students can shop with their classes during school, after school, and even one evening after school. Money raised buys new books for our library. Many volunteers are needed for this event.

See's Candy Sales. Order See's candy in time for the winter holidays. Half of the total from the orders goes directly to the teachers for classroom supplies. Order forms are sent home with your child.
Read-a-thon. This fundraiser celebrates how important education and reading skills are. During a two week period in January, students ask family, friends, and community to sponsor them to read during reading sessions. This event is in conjunction with Young Authors' week.

Spring Auction. Our second biggest fundraiser! This adult-only event is located at the I.D.E.S. Hall in town, and features a sit down dinner, silent and live auction, as well as entertainment. Many volunteers required to make this a great event.
