Alvin S. Hatch Elementary School is located in the coastal town of Half Moon Bay, CA and is one of six schools in the Cabrillo Unified School District. There are approximately 585 students, 24 classroom teachers, 8 classified staff and the Principal. The primary grades, K-3, have a ratio of 24 students to 1 teacher and the 4-5 grades have a ratio of approximately 32 to 1.

There are two educational programs at Hatch; the English Immersion (Traditional) and the Spanish Immersion Program. The Spanish Immersion's goal is literacy in two languages.

The SARC for Hatch School is an overview of programs, facilities, staff, assessment results, and other information that is required for all California schools to update annually based on data from the previous year.

California Academic Standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills for each grade level.

Mission Statement
Every student shall be empowered to achieve the highest of skills academically, linguistically, and socially while developing self-esteem and creativity. We believe education is the shared responsibility of parents, students, and the community in partnership with the school.
