is SCRIP gift certificates?
- A gift certificate
program for stores where you already shop.
- You buy gift
certificates for face value. The PTO makes
2-24% profit because we buy it at a discount.
- It costs you nothing.
- The PTO raised
almost $5,000 from SCRIP last year with only 15% of Farallone
families participating regularly.
- We make our profit
as soon as you buy it from us.
- Most of our scrip
can be used nationally and is great for gifts.
- Check for our FV
"Staff Wish List" in December and June.
Where
can I purchase SCRIP?
- At school Monday and Friday mornings, 8:20-8:50.

- At LUNA'S MEMORIES in Strawflower Village during business hours
(Mon.-Sat. 10:00-6:00).

What is eScrip?
- eScrip (produced by
San Mateo-based ESI, Inc.) is a fundraising tool, similar in
concept to SCRIP gift certificates.
- Last year we
earned over $31,000.
- Supporters register
their own grocery cards (e.g. SAFEWAY Club Card), credit cards
or ATM cards with eScrip. Then they do their regular shopping
and a percentage of sales automatically goes to the PTO. 95%
of our eScrip profits come freom Safeway! See eScrip merchant
list on the eScrip website or pick up a copy at the SCRIP table.
- Register by filling
out registration forms (available at the SCRIP table or in the
office) or online at http://www.escrip.com . FV's identification number is 136952020.
- Supporters use
registered cards to pay for merchandise at participating
merchants
- eScrip can be used
by friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc. We currently have
over 1200 active supporters!
What cards can I register?
Safeway Club Card, ATM
cards, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover cards, and
others.
Is
there any cost to register?
- No, eScrip charges
the PTO a monthly 15% service fee, you pay nothing.
Do I
need to renew my membership with Safeway?
YES! Safeway is now requiring everyone
to renew their membership each year by NOVEMBER 1. It's easy!

Will eScrip sell my name?
No. ESI states that
they will not license, sell, exchange, or distribute any personally

What is schoolpop.com?
Schoolpop.com is an
online shopping service.
How does it work?
- Visit http://www.schoolpop.com and use the search button to search for Farallone View Elementary.
You will enter the Farallone View Mall.
- From the FV Mall,
link to any of the online merchants and then shop as you normally
would.
- Once you pay for your
items, they will be shipped to your home.
- Farallone View Ed
Fund will receive 2%-20% of the purchase price at no extra
cost to you.
What merchants are available?
- Hundreds of merchants,
such as Avon, eBay, eToys,JCrew, Macy's, and Office Max.
- Visit the schoolpop
website or ask at the SCRIP table for more
merchants.
Is there any cost to
use the schoolpop.com website?
No. There is no cost
to you or to the Farallone View PTO.
Can relatives and friends
across the country use schoolpop.com to contribute to the Farallone
View PTO?
Yes. Anyone with access
to the Internet can shop through schoolpop.com and name Farallone
View as the beneficiary.
