At Farallone View, all classrooms provide grade level standard-based instruction and adhere to district grade level objectives. Our uniqueness lies in the ability to offer two types of learning environments: the traditional classroom and looping program. In the traditional classroom environment, students master the content standards one grade level at a time with a different teacher each year. Occasionally, combination classes are offered. In the looping program, students remain with the same teacher for two years. This is a multi-age setting where classes are made up of K-1 or 2-3 students. Content standards are intermixed and students master them over a period of two years. All classes follow the California content standards, deliver Cabrillo Unified’s Every Child a Reader and Writer Literacy Program through Readers and Writers Workshops, as well as offer 30 minutes of daily English Language Development.
