Building Strong Foundations During Grades 6–8
Cunha helps students make the transition between elementary and high school experiences. The school culture is grounded in the tradition of educating the “whole” person. We work hard to promote academic success and positive behavior. There are two full time counselors for a student body of ~725 students. The counselors work closely with the students on their academic, personal, social and emotional needs.

Cunha is part of the Cabrillo Unified School District and serves grades 6, 7, and 8 in the coastal area of Half Moon Bay, 25 miles south of San Francisco. The student population is approximately 720 students.
