Clipper Card - Youth Bus Service for Students on SamTrans

Until further notice, Youth monthly paper passes are still available on the Coastside. They can be purchased at the District Office, Cunha or Half Moon Bay High School.

Clipper CardSamTrans has phased out its paper monthly passes. The January 2012 Monthly Pass will be available only on the Clipper card. All youth (ages 5-17) who purchase a monthly pass must have a Clipper Card.

To get a youth Clipper Card, youth or their parent/guardian must appear in person at the SamTrans office at 1250 San Carlos Ave, 2nd floor, San Carlos weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. When you bring in your completed application, also bring valid photo identification. Once you have the card, you can add value online, over the phone or at a Clipper retailer. The Clipper youth application and other instructions can be found at www.samtrans.com/clipper.

If a youth does not have a Clipper Card, they will have to pay exact fare with cash or tokens. A list of SamTrans token vendors can be found at www.samtrans.com/fares/howtobuy.
